Redemption Church is a location within Salvation Harbor in The Sinking City.

Redemption Church once upon a time had the largest congregation of the Churches of Oakmont but those days are long gone. The building was paid for and built by the Carpenter family after a lightning strike destroyed their mansion killing all but one of the Grand Family.The Church was build on the grounds of the manor and some people spoke up and even said it was cursed by Kay .
Publicly the church worshiped Kay in his aspect of the Lord of the woods and Sheppard of the lost lambs, in private however things were very different. Even members of the church didn't all know the truth a prime example of this was Graham Carpenter.
The cult[]
The cult behind closed door no longer worshiped Kay but instead the Fecund Mother.
At some point in time it appears that a priest or devout man hung his daughter for her slanderous behavior but she simply came back. Then he incinerated her and was eventually hanged for her murder, however she did not stay dead and in fact in some perverse way gave birth to him anew and thus the cult began.
They worship the Fecund Mother, presumably the creature this 'daughter' became. The cult appears to kill others to feed this being and in return are eaten themselves but reborn young and rejuvenated. Although the outside world didn't know this secret they offered 'immortality' in return for loyalty to high ranking members of society. If they refused the other party would be murdered and they would make a bargain with their successor. In some cases notably that of Brutus Carpenter they were able to make a simulacrum of the uncooperative party but it seems that such a creature isn't a replacement for a real human so ultimately the figure they replaced would have to be converted to the cause, in this case Graham.
Charles Reed Killed the Fecund Mother and most of the cult but how this ultimately will play out is unclear.
As the church was still openly functioning and accepting donations it appears that like by the hands of her father, the Fecund Mother doesn't die easily but there is no evidence either way.

Graham Carpenter-
Graham was a normal Kay fearing man, only going to redemption church as it was built by his forebares. After returning from the war he was a changed man and desired change for the city too. The cult took advantage of his naivety and helped him supplant his father as head of the Great House. Given that Graham was traumatized and injured they took advantage of his guilt and drove him further into the fold. If the player chooses to side with Graham it is left open to question whether or not he will succumb to the cult. later he gives a large donation dispute the apparent death of the Fecund Mother so it appears that the cult may have still had plans for him.
